What is the Time Sector System?

This system was designed by Carl Pullein to help people be more productive. Rather than adding tasks to projects and planning them, you organise your tasks by when you need to do them:

Next week
This month
Next month
Long term

As tasks appear you determine when to do them and put them in the appropriate folder. Tasks that have a set deadline go into your calendar. Projects are managed in a separate information app - one that is designed for information storage not for task management. Each week you plan your week and move the tasks along.

Pros:

Works well for people/teams with simple tasks
Keeping projects in dedicated apps help separate concerns

Cons:

Needs weekly planning to move tasks forward between the sectors
Has no concept of strategy or alignment
